Missus and I just saw this, and thoroughly enjoyed it
I was glad Odeon was showing it at 20:00 in the main large screen, was worried they'd relegate it to the small ones, and was suprised it was half fall, maybe 2 groups of families with young kids, but all the rest adults of all ages ![]()
Seemed the whole cinema enjoyed it, I don't think I've laughed so much at the cinema since Jackass 3d, probably different reasons though ![]()
Interestingly the film is probably more aimed at adults my our age and upwards, i.e. those that loved The Muppet show as children, as there's plenty of jokes for older ppl, but it retains the classic Muppet stupidy
Lot of cameos, but not done in a tacky bolted on way.
WWAW
Also, before it there was a Toy Story short which was very good as well.
The Toy Story short was good. I quite enjoyed The Muppets, even if their voices were wrong
Never thought I'd see chicken puppets covering Ce Lo Green or a barbershop quartet featuring a Swedish chef covering Nirvana. Lot of self referential humour as well. A nice distraction of a Friday evening that reminded me of a simpler time.

The Mrs and me loved it too, went to see it on the Sat last weekend, didn't want it to be full of kids so went for the 10.30 showing - there was only us in there! Bliss ![]()
Man or Muppet is up for an Oscar, written by Brett McKenzie from Flight of the Conchords. Hoping it wins, he is up against one of the songs from Rio.
