Anime Limited reach Day 10

There's a lot of good stuff here.

Lupin the Third Part IV is split into Japanese and English versions, so be sure you're picking the right one.
Time of Eve is amazing, one of my favourite anime. It's basically Asimov's laws of robotics in anime form.
Eureka Seven, Martian Successor Nadesico (not the movie), and Escaflowne are rightful classics.
Space Dandy is more of a modern classic, a sci-fi anthology from the creator of Cowboy Bebop.

Today is Horror day at MVM

It’s not my thing so there’s not a lot I can recommend here, except for Flowers of Evil, which is all kinds of brilliant. It only got a DVD release in the UK, but the US version works on Region B players if you can find it.

Anime Limited Day 11

Early Bird Redux they call it. Basically many of their recent titles back to their pre-release discount prices. There's no mega-bargain today, just reasonablish prices.

But I'd go for Silver Spoon and Welcome to the Ballroom out of this lot. (Much as I love the film and appreciate the slightly better transfer, I can't sanction the price on Perfect Blue Ultimate)

Fantasy day at MVM

https://www.anime-on-line.com/xcart/home.php?cat=3004&sort=orderby&sort_direction=0&page=2

A lot of Standard Edition versions of Collectors editions that were discounted a few days ago. £14.99 is at lot more amenable than £40-ish. So consider the same shows recommended again, Flip Flappers, Grimoire of Zero, Sword Oratoria...

Add Land of the Lustrous to that list as a really out there high concept show. But really, there are no stinkers in today’s offering.

Day 12 of the Anime Limited Sale, and it's Mystery Box time!

One DVD mystery box (x50) with five titles £29.99
One Blu-ray Red mystery (x500) with five titles £44.99
One Blu-ray Blue mystery (x500) with five titles £44.99

There's a whole lot of  rules, and nothing yet discounted this year is included, and nothing from previous year's mystery boxes is included, which narrows it down some. There are people with more time on their hand than I that have narrowed down the possibilities for the Blu-ray boxes, although that's still an educated guess, not a guarantee (Anime Sudoku)...

Sequels day at MVM, or shows with multiple seasons

https://www.anime-on-line.com/xcart/home.php?cat=3004&sort=orderby&sort_direction=0&page=1

Out of these I would choose...

Arakawa Under the Bridge for surreal comedy.
Is This A Zombie for daft dark horror comedy.
Kamisama Kiss for divine romantic comedy.
Kokoro Connect for bodyswap comedy.
Patlabor OVAs for giant police robot comedy.

MVM’s Day 7 is all about pre-orders at half price. You won’t be seeing them till 2020 but these are worth putting money down on...

Berserk
Samurai Champloo
Toradora

I haven’t seen Rascal doesn’t Dream of Bunny-Girl Sempai, but I’m looking forward to it just for the name alone...

Monogatari day at MVM

https://www.anime-on-line.com/xcart/home.php?cat=3004&sort=orderby&sort_direction=0&page=1

The Monogatari franchise is a light horror comedy that is rightfully popular. But it is extensive and its verbose wordplay can be an acquired taste.

All the Blurays released thus far in the UK are discounted, and if you’re a fan, you’ll know what goes where and what you need to buy in terms of bundles and singles.

If you’re not a fan and are merely curious, I suggest that you just get the first series, Bakemonogatari and see how it goes.
