Yes, sell it and use the money to buy another DVD player!!!!
Thats what I did cos the Matsui is poo, I took mine back and bought an Alba 103 and I`m very pleased. If you can afford to buy another player without selling the Matsui that would be good too cos then you could burn it and do the world a favour!!!!!!

RE: ALBA DVD 103 Macrovision Hack Please?

Not sure what you mean by Macrovision, but I had trouble playing RCE discs (The patriot) but you can get around this by going through the intro menu and press ..PLAY>RESUME>PLAY on the play movie prompt and this enables me to play this disc at least, not sure about other RCE titles, any feed back would be nice, but all in all still a good little machine!

RE: Alba 103 problems playing The Patriot (R2)

Just letting you know regarding The Patriot and ALBA 103. Saw "bedlam" notice on PLAYRESUMEPLAY. It does work if you go to PLAY MOVIE prompt on page of special features then do the magic three (PLAYRESUMEPLAY) it starts straight away and keeps on going.

Try it, its too good a film to miss.

just to let you know, had same problem playing The Patriot on Alba 103. Tried PLAY>RESUME>PLAY at PLAY MOVIE prompt and it worked.
Normally used to return to main menu and do that looping around thing!
