Your DVD-ROM drive has locked on the last region disc you used, some drives only allow 5 different discs, some are more then they lock.

As said above, let us know the make and model of the drive (both are required) and I can let you know if it can be unlocked by flashing the firmware.

The only way to do it is to have some sort of macrovision buster that sits inbetween the a dvd player and dvd recorder, but doing this will NOT produced 100% digital copies. You get a sort of high quality recording.

To copy 1:1 you will need a PC and a DVD-WRITER, this is the only way.

I know people who are doing this right now.

All instructions come with the firmware upgrades. Just make sure you use the right the firmware with the right chipset your player has.

You do however need access to a cd writer.

What is your current firmware? But most importantly this doesn`t sound like a firmware problem, its either the mp3 disc or your dvd player has developed a fault, in which case, take it back and get a new one.

To enable region select, region free and turn macrovision off you all need version 8.00 firmware, download it, burn it to cdr and update your players.

There is no performance lost going from v9 to v8 firmware.....

You will NOT do it any other way.

You cannot turn macro off on the 711....You are stuck unless you buy a m/v box thingy for around £50.

Most of the big name brands like, philips, sony, panasonic, technics e.t.c can only do multiregion forget it for macro hacks.

If u open the tray and press 7,6,SEL on remote u enter the secret menu.

Simple!

Its really that simple.

In the secret menu scroll down to country and enter 13 for multi or 1 or 2 to set the region. On the next page is Macrovision, set this to 0 to turn it off.

Cyberhome M212 and M512 firmware available.....

I have firmware versions 6.7 and 8.0 both have the ability to change region or set to multiregion and have macro off. Firmware is recorded on to a CDR and played in the DVD player to up or downgrade.

Points to note:

6.7 can be set and powered down, you do not need to re-apply the hack

8.0 every time you power down you lose the hack, you need to re-apply each time you use the machine.....

No.....no.......you don`t need to chip it........

Just download the firmware and burn it to cdr then downgrade the firmware to either version 6.7 or 8 then u can change regions and bypass macro.....I`ve done it for my 512 and it works fine.

Note: Version 9 firmware has only macro removed.

It cannot be done and thats that. Your only possible chance of getting anywhere with it is to either email www.techtronics.com and see if they can chip it for you.

All other Daewoo models have the hacks for multiregion & macro off but the DS2000D doesn`t, sorry.

This is a fantasic machine that seems to play everything I throw at it. Its also multiregional or region select for RCE discs and has macrovision off play has 5:1 channel outputs, supports mp3,dvd,cd,vcd,svcd and a few more. Well worth £190. Also firmware upgradable.

Press OPEN.
Press 7 on remote or machine.
Press 6 on remote or machine.
Press SEL on remote or ENTER on machine.

RE: SC2000 Bright Colour Smearing

Theres way tooooo many problems with the scan 2000 I think I`ll stay clear of it......This forum is proof of this.

I know it can play 99% or even 100% of all formats but its riddled with bugs and glitches.

Maybe scan need a re-think on this machine and stop p***ing about.

Can you remove MACRO on a LECSON 900 ??? Also CYBERHOME...

I would like to know if MACRO can be disabled on the LECSON 900 via the remote control and also on the CYBERHOME AD-M512.
