when you have cut the wire and code and pw ok appear
unplug the dvd player for five minutes then plug in it should work then

Theres know remote hack for the jvc. There is a region hack for it but you will have to open up the dvd player and cut a certain wire.
The hack works great on my dvd player.

Have you tried the hack for the matsui110. I dont know if it works but here it is as follows
Put a audio cd in and let it play then press the stop button,menu botton
9 button,1/all button then the open/close button.A menu should appear saying 1 vcd enable 2vcd disable. press 1 button and wait a minute and you should be now able to play vcds

The hack at dvd-tenalp[at]ten.xmg for the jvc should work in worked for me but its not a remote hack.

Does anybody know why the dvd player cant play vcds.It says in the manual it does,but when i put in a vcd it says no disc .The vcds play in my wharlfdale player.

The hack works on my jvc515gd dvd player.I played pitch black region1 for two minutes then pressed eject and put in patriot region1rce and it played.THANKS FOR THE HACK.

THE HACK WORKS
I am glad to say the hack works.I unpluged the dvd for five minutes and then when i pluged it back in it played pitch black perfectly.

I have just tryed the hack from

it didnt work.I cut the the bridge wire b532 and apply the power.
pw appeared on display i entered the code 5963 the pw ok appear on the display. I unplug the set and plug it in again .I put pitch black region 1 in and it dosent work. DOES ANY ONE KNOW WHY IT DID WORK?
